The Job Role

Westcoast Cloud are one of the UK and Ireland’s leading indirect CSP distributors. As an early adopter of the Microsoft CSP programme, Westcoast Cloud have been an essential piece of the CSP channel since its inception in the UK and Ireland and have seen our approach of educating and enabling partners to become a huge success. We have grown from 4 to more than 40 staff and we currently provide this service to over 700 partners and hold large market share across all indirect distributors in each of the Microsoft service pillars (Modern Workplace (Office 365), Intelligent Cloud (Azure) and Power Platform (Dynamics)).

We are looking for a Azure Technical Specialist for our Azure partner practice, making this exciting opportunity for the right candidate looking for a move to the value-add cloud distributor space working with our cloud partners primarily in the SMB sector.


Job Purpose

As a member of  the azure team, you will work with the team’s azure technical specialists providing guidance to our partners, you will work alongside your commercial lead counterpart, supporting the commercial BDM’s and Partner Engagement Managers to provide the technical sales support on teams video calls, emails, site visits with the partner and their end customer. You will also provide pre-sales support in the form of demos, webinars, teams training sessions to include hands-on demonstrations of implementations, walkthroughs, guided labs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the whole business to support Azure Growth.
  • Provide pre-sales customer support to aid customers in purchasing a cloud solution.
  • Work with customers to drive usage of all products/services purchased.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
  • Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
  • Escalate problems to the Tier 3 vendor support when appropriate.
  • Liaise with vendors where necessary in order to resolve vendor-related issues.
  • Monitor progress against customer SLAs to ensure customer service levels are achieved
  • Maintain & develop technical skills/certifications as required.

Key Skills

  • Experience working technically in the IT channel (distributor or reseller)
  • Technical Knowledge of the Azure Platform and associated Services
  • Hands on Azure background essential
  • Solid infrastructure, data centre, networking skills
  • An excellent communication skills
