Supporting up to 300 users, the Microsoft 365 Business Premium plan offers organizations an impressive array of productivity tools, along with enterprise-grade security features including mobile device management and granular access controls.

The insatiable demand for agile and scalable software solutions have made cloud services a vital enabler of business growth. However it has also left many businesses tackling increased IT complexity. But even among this chaos, productivity and efficiency should never come at the cost of security. Fortunately, Microsoft 365 Business Premium offers both.

While Business Premium includes all the same features and functions as lesser subscription plans, its extra security and data management capabilities put it closer in line with Enterprise plans. Central to Business Premium is the inclusion of Microsoft Intune, a powerful tool for managing access across mobile devices.

Securing remote workforces with Microsoft Intune

Intune is a cloud-based service that gives administrators a centralized platform for managing apps, identities, and devices for remote and hybrid workers. It supports a range of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and macOS to ensure that businesses can manage a variety of devices with ease. Dependable data protection for any device

The Business Premium edition also incorporates Azure Information Protection (AIP), a feature designed to elevate security for data held in the cloud. Since cloud storage is a key component of Microsoft 365, this feature offers a much-needed framework to apply security classification labels to corporate data. It’s seamlessly integrated into the Microsoft ecosystem, and it works through File Explorer and PowerShell to greatly enhance the management of sensitive data.

AIP also includes an on-premises scanner that gives administrators the means to scan their on-premises file repositories for any potentially sensitive content that still needs to be labelled and classified and, if necessary, protected by additional security measures. For example, let’s say a healthcare provider has a policy to classify all documents and data sets that include social security numbers or patient IDs. Once installed, AIP scans all file repositories at regular intervals to identify and classify any instances where social security or patient ID numbers are included. The IT team receives reports on the scanned repositories, enabling them to apply protective measures as needed.
