What Is Power Platform?

Let’s recap the basics. Power Platform is Microsoft’s suite of business application tools to build apps, automate workflows, and create AI-powered solutions. It includes Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio. 

Most users tend to focus solely on the mainstream applications like Teams and SharePoint when they dig into their pockets for M365; only the minority realise their license also grants basic access to Power Platform. As their provider, you’re in the prime position to inform these customers and help them benefit from this untapped zone of productivity they’re already paying for. 

With Power Apps, customers solve manual inconveniences with automation, benefit from even greater AI-powered support, and build their own bespoke applications. For suppilers, you benefit from building trust, creating a deeper and more rewarding client relationship.

Unleashing the Hidden Gems of Your License

M365 provides users with access to standard connectors in Copilot and Teams Dataverse, as well as Power Automate and Power Apps, enabling them to create cloud flows, automate tasks, and seamlessly share workflows within each app. That said, unlocking the more advanced capabilities and premium connectors will require a full license. Power Platform capabilities depend on the M365 suite, but even ‘Basic’ provides seeded rights to create apps in Power Apps, flows in Power Automate, and agents in Copilot Studio. 

There are bags of possibilities to refine slow and complex processes with the help of Power Platform. And it’s a safe test space for you and your customers to explore AI support, automation, and Power Platform capabilities. Pitch it as a risk-free opportunity – they’re already paying for licenses with these features, so they can start using them with no financial risk if they’re unsure. Once they experience the benefits, we reckon they’ll see the potential and want to expand their usage.

While the basic Power Platform features included within Microsoft 365 are impressive, there are some limitations. The primary restriction is that users must utilise Power Apps, Automate, or Copilot Studio within their existing data and Microsoft environment. This means that users are confined to leveraging these tools within the Microsoft ecosystem, which may limit integration with external data sources or third-party applications.

The premium Power Platform license solves this issue, whilst also giving you the following benefits:
