It’s the time of year when everything is being wrapped up, from presents to projects and Spotify playlists, but, before we tie 2023 up in a neat little bow for Christmas, we wanted to say thank you to our trusted partners with a look back at some of this year’s sensational standout moments for Westcoast Cloud and our brilliant partners.
Eight vendors, four cyber defenders and one nefarious hacker came together at Operation: ENIGMA, an immersive cybersecurity event like no other that dove into the unsecured spaces of internet, cloud security and hybrid working.
Microsoft, Acronis, Avast, Softwerx, Absolute and Beyond Encryption all joined us to focus on the misconceptions of security as we worked together to mitigate the risks for our partners and their customers through educational vendor stands, industry-leading keynote speakers and a live battle for the safety of the web against ENIGMA’s very own hacker.
Spoiler alert, the good guys won!

You don’t need your trainers for our Technical Bootcamps and, we promise, you won’t have to do a single burpee. Instead, you can flex your knowledge muscles with intimate, training days designed to break down the latest advancements in security tech, delivered by experts who know them the best.
In November, we invited our partners to tackle the complexities of the Microsoft Stack at Microsoft’s Paddington office. Hosted by Steve Miles and Rio Hindle, attendees got hands-on tutorials, insightful seminars and real-world application examples throughout a day dedicated to unlocking the secrets of the stack and how it can help protect precious data.
Gareth Hesketh from Probrand pointed out it helped to, “Understand just how complex the cloud could be.”
“Your data is the most important thing you hold, whether it’s personal or business data, so the more people understand just what threats are out there, hopefully we can raise that awareness.”

It was all about futureproofing at our Elevate meetings this year – events designed to help end-customers prepare for the future. Whether you’re looking at what Microsoft solutions can do today or in the future to help improve working life, we’ve got something for you.
For our Pathways events, we invited partners to get up to speed with the latest AI innovations and how it can help their businesses with the launch of Copilot. Plus, we concluded every session with fun entertainment – for example, we served up a side of cocktail making to close the event.
We hope our guests left shaken by the new ideas and stirred to embed them in their wider business community.
As speaker and presenter on the day Andy Hixman (MD, Keybridge Security) said: “I want them to learn about what’s coming with AI. I want them to think about how this can improve their business, how it can make them more efficient.
“We want to build our working relationship with our customers, so the more they get out of today, I think the more we’ll be able to work with them more closely.”
